Waterloo Bridge Replacement Project
PARK AVENUE BRIDGE CLOSURE
- Effective immediately (2-28-22), the Park Avenue Bridge will be closed to allow for utility work related to the bridge replacement project. The bridge will remain closed until the work is completed. Motorists and pedestrians are not to move the barricades and access the closed area.
- Effective on 4/11/2022 until fall of 2023, there will be posted detour routes for trail, sidewalk, water trail, and vehicles for the Park Avenue bridge replacement project. Click here to view in more detail.
- The next set of beams for Park Avenue are scheduled to arrive on Friday, June 2. It is anticipated that the beams will be on site at 7:00 am with deliveries continuing through 4:00 pm.
Beams will be traveling to the site via US 63 to Sycamore Street to Park Avenue. Trucks will turn left onto Park Avenue at Sycamore Street then go backwards on Park Avenue towards the river to deliver the beams.
As trucks move into position, MET buses could be delayed for several minutes at the station.
Please avoid parking on Sycamore Street between US 63 and Park Avenue, if possible.
