Storm Damage Cleanup

The City of Waterloo is offering residents guidance for storm damage cleanup in neighborhoods affected by severe weather that occurred last night.

Specifically, Forestry and Public Works crews are clearing streets of storm debris in an area generally north of University Avenue and east of Greenhill Road, including the Gates Park neighborhood, Edison School neighborhood, and Cedar River Park neighborhood.

Residents are encouraged to take debris from damaged private trees to the Waterloo Yard Waste site.

Compost Facility/ Yard Waste Hours

The City Compost/Yard Waste Facility is Currently Open, 7 days a week, 8 AM to 8 PM. As a reminder, the site is located at 2749 Independence Avenue and is open ONLY to residents of Waterloo.
