Elev8 Housing and Celebrate & Connect are two of the 8 frameworks for the 2030 vision adopted last year by the city council.  Mayor Hart states, "This is a great opportunity for homeowners who are facing financial burdens to take pride in their homes be removing dilapidated garages or buildings on their property. This funding will also encourage other residents and future residents and business owners to invest in Waterloo."

"We look forward to working with the neighborhood associations to help bring pride into their neighborhoods, " Rudy Jones, Director of Community Development commented. "This funding and program will provide a sense of safety and bring much needed improvement to neighborhoods in need of attention. It will also hold all neighborhoods at the same value and break down any financial barriers for everyone to feel pride on where they live."
