Mayor Hart Joins Nation's Mayors in Washington DC

U.S. Conference of Mayors’ 92nd Winter Meeting

WATERLOO, IA – This week, Mayor Quentin Hart will attend the U.S. Conference of Mayors (USCM) 92nd Winter Meeting in Washington, DC representing the City of Waterloo from Wednesday, January 17 through Friday, January 19.

Hart joins mayors across the country to engage with top federal officials and discuss pressing challenges including mental health, public safety, infrastructure, affordable housing and job creation.

The conference brings together a bipartisan group of more than 250 mayors to discuss the biggest challenges facing cities, collaborate, share best practices and engage with top federal officials on the issues most important to cities like Waterloo. It concludes with a meeting at The White House with President Joe Biden.
“This conference has proven to be an incredible opportunity to not just share the issues and concerns of my constituents in Waterloo with national leadership, but to forge meaningful relationships that over time have and will continue to result in positive impacts on our community through infrastructure and other projects,” said Mayor Quentin Hart, City of Waterloo.

The meeting will feature conversations with national leaders, including Vice President Kamala Harris, top Cabinet officials, and members of Congress as well as other leaders in the public and private sectors.
