Cedar Valley Veterans Honor Banners Presentation

The City of Waterloo and its partners will host a banner presentation for this year’s Veterans Way Walk of Honor banner installation along East and West 4th Street in downtown Waterloo.

The event is from 5:00pm - 5:30pm on Thursday, May 23 in Lincoln Park, 401 East 4th Street in Waterloo. This is the second year the banners featuring local veterans will be displayed downtown.

“This celebration continues our commitment to making the City of Waterloo a veteran-friendly community. From the River Lights Experience on the bridge to the Sullivan Brothers Memorial Plaza, our Veterans Way landmarks remind locals and visitors alike about the service and sacrifice of so many,” says Mayor Quentin Hart, City of Waterloo.

The Exchange Club of Waterloo handles the sale and promotion of the banners. Each year a new one can be purchased to recognize a veteran. The banners will be displayed through Veterans Day this year. Main Street Waterloo oversees logistics, and Experience Waterloo provides web support and graphic design. Proceeds from the banners will go to projects supporting local veterans.
